Bad Day Tools: Flip Side

For what comes after the bad day.

Psychosocial recovery coaching, Adelaide

The cards get you through the hard morning. Flip Side is the part that happens on the other side of it: rebuilding your week, your routines and your sense of who you are, one small step at a time.

What it is

Recovery coaching, in plain words.

Psychosocial recovery coaching is an NDIS support for people living with psychosocial disability. A recovery coach works alongside you to build skills, confidence and a life that fits you. It also means helping you understand your plan and work with the rest of your supports.

It is
Practical and goal focused.
Paced around your good days and your bad ones.
Led by you.
Alongside your GP, psych and support team.
It isn't
Therapy or counselling.
Crisis support.
Someone telling you how to live.
A quick fix.
How I work

Small steps. Real life. No pressure.

1
We start where you are.
Not where a plan says you should be. Bad days are part of the picture, not a setback.
2
You set the goals.
Getting back to work, building a routine, reconnecting with people, or just getting through the week with more in the tank.
3
We break it down.
Small, doable actions that fit your energy. Then we notice what worked.
4
I work with your team.
With your permission, I keep in touch with the people already supporting you, so nobody's working in the dark.

In person, southern Adelaide, or online

I'm starting with a small number of clients so each person gets proper time. If I'm full, I'll tell you straight and help you find someone else.

About me

Lived and learned experience.

I'm Caitlin. I made Bad Day Tools because I've had a lot of bad days myself, and I know what it's like to need someone in your corner who doesn't rush you. Flip Side is the part I wish I'd had after them.

  • Studying a Bachelor of Counselling (one year in)
  • Level 2 Specialist Support Coordinator, working with NDIS participants with psychosocial and complex disability
  • My own lived experience of mental health, disability, loss and recovery

Private clients

Not on the NDIS? You can still book.

You don't need a plan or a referral. If you're coming out the other side of a hard stretch and want someone in your corner while you rebuild, you can book in yourself. Family members are welcome to reach out too, as long as the person knows and is happy for you to.

Private sessions aren't covered by Medicare or private health. If you're an NDIS participant, you may be able to use your plan instead. Ask me and I'll help you work it out.

The fine print

I'm not a psychologist, counsellor or doctor, and recovery coaching isn't crisis support. If you need more than I can offer, I'll help you find the right person.
